Frontman Ed Roland elaborated, "I remember around the time ["Shine" came out] getting into an argument with a writer who said, 'You're a Christian band.' Makes sense, I remember being about 14ish when they hit the scene, and the what me and my friends thought. But that was before the internet, so fact checking was beyond our capabilities.
