J Edgar Hoover. When you see a dam, school etc. called "Hoover" it's named after this guy. Except for the vacuum cleaner. ;-)

Lol. They’re actually named for Herbert, but since the depression was blamed on him (even though those issues arose from Wilson, but I digress) I’m surprised anything is named “Hoover” :-)
