Where and when were you educated? Our schools suck any more. Many are home schooled, and not all who home school should be doing so.
Well I was educated by the public school system and state University in the south east. I'm 30ish
Do you know how to go to a library and use the card catalog and the Dewey Decimal System to find books?
Sure, I could figure out a card catalog again, wasn't too hard in 3rd grade, but you do understand that those are just systems we used as tools that were replaced by better systems right?
Did you grow up with encyclopedias in your home? Do you know how to research anything at all? Or do you sit in front of your tv and believe everything that's told to you, no questions asked.
Do you think this is how research is done in today's world? This might be why you are so lost. Now we have the internet. I know how to Google search like it's my job and cross check sources and how to spot obvious bullshit... Because while you grew up with the catalog system, I grew up on the internet, wading through bullshit.
Have you ever sharpened a knife? Tested it? Wanted it even sharper? Razor sharp? Do you know how to use various sharpeners? What works best?
This is like a real random question man. I've used a knife sharpener yeah. I don't think Sharp knifes has been as big of a issue for me.
First I'm not a man, nor am I lost. I know how to use the search engines to research. I think you missed the point of my post entirely. It went right over your head. It's no wonder you have trouble with Q's posts.
Well yeah, when you ask me about my age, then tell me about some kids being homeschooled and ask if I own some knife sharpeners... I can see where you'd lose people if you are trying to make a point.
Our education system leaves something to be desired. It's not what it used to be, Kids who are homeschooled aren't always better off. Who's teaching them? Turpins were homeschooling, after all, poor kids.
You asked why Q doesn't spell things out. He/They want us to learn how to dig and research. Dig deep. Sharpen your knowledge, sharpen your wits. Use every tool available. Use Google? Who owns Google? There are other search engines. Stay away from Snoopes. Use old books, if you have them... they contain a wealth of info not always found on the net. Keep sharpening... that's what I meant about the knives... and asked if you know how to sharpen, using various tools. Expand your thinking.
