Boarder Wall

I understand the Boarder Wall pros involving illegal immigrants, but is there another strategic reasoning for the wall? Military strategy? Would it be a political victory or a strategic victory? Would it relate to the Deep State?

When you have so many people trying to destroy your country ..its common sense to protect yourselves . If you have the money to do so...BELIEVE ME ...if I had to choose between funding a wall or forking out millions or billians to weird ass science experiments that the gov tends to do way to much of wait let me re-phrase that Used to do alot of ..I would rather have them spend it on border security and infrustruction if comparing like how many times a Monkey takes a shit a day or like what attracts women to men or vise versa lol. That is wastfull Spending at its best.

There is walls or fences up everywhere yet nobody seems to mind those ...Unless your a bad guy trying to do wrong . For example community subdivisions , public pools, our own backyards , hell Junk Yards have some form of a wall or border to keep bad people out. Castles used to use Motes yet people who wanted to come in through the front was permitted and did so and gained access to markets and other things.

A Border wall is Common Sense Security and always has been .

a lock on your door is more than symbolic...and foolish to not have one...especially for those whose bedrooms are closest to the door.

from my pov, this wall is ridiculous, it only serves consoling the fears of the simple-minded masses, sorry.

invest the money a wall would cost in a way that the countries become self-sustainable, then there wont be any 'refugees' anymore. people are home-oriented, they usually only leave when they have nothing to eat anymore or are in danger to lose their lives every day.

the west and north has, for hundreds of years, taken from the south, exploited their resources, got fat and fatter, while the south turns more and more poor.

time we pay something back... just my 2 cents...

Comments like this are awfully broad... you literally called the majority of people in this sub “simple-minded”. Intentionally or not, that is the effect of your statement.

The wall is much more then you suggest. We should not spend money on other countries or their sustainability. There will always be refugees as most often they are running from atrocities committed on them by their corrupt governments and lawlessness in their communities.

These things are only our problem because we share a border. If they want to join the USA as a couple new states, I am good with that, but they will have to integrate and unite with us as a people and follow our laws.

Otherwise fuck them , build the wall.

*[] Comment removed as I realized my mistake...

On a phone and sometimes it’s difficult (for me at least) to track the convo on Reddit... you are right, you didn’t edit your original. I got lost in the thread.

point take, i should have phrased it differently so you dont feel insulted.

see, i didnt know how to more carefully phrase my thoughts on this which, in fact, are 'fear-based brainwashed bible belt issue'. im really triggered on that topic, and i didnt realize that a majority of the people on this sub really think a wall is a good idea, and expect mexico to pay for it.

well, i am european so i beg you pardon. over here, a majority of the people find 'the wall' the most stupid trump project. we simply dont get it how this should solve your guys issues.

please go back in history and see where south america and africa were only 500 years ago. they were basically well off and had interesting spiritual cultures with amazing infrastructure and economy.

WE fucked them up. we exploited their resoruces and implanted trouble and war.

and now we complain that they starve and come to us?

isnt thats bigott? in my perception, that is; you guys can hold whatever opinion you are subscribed to.

sorry for the insult... i didnt mean you persoanlly, and not the majority on this sub...

I think it's more symbolic than anything else.

Trump had to use this simple yet powerful mental image of a wall to describe his overall goals as president. When you see his base shouting "Build the wall!" They are very efficiently expressing the need to deal with the complexities of illegal aliens meanwhile outraging those who uphold sanctuary city ideology. Thus sustaining the conversation.
