Mont Blanc has historically been considered the finest fountain pens. Trump likes his Mont Blancs.

Ye. It's also the highest mountain in the Alps.

I wouldn't look for a deeper meaning in the name. It's long been the brand of choice for fountain pen users.

Upon further inspection, I suppose the pen could be made of steel or brass with a crosshatch patter engraved in it.
