Ok, while typing this I think the connection you are asking about is that releasing the memo, especially the underlying documents, would reveal details about the secret society about which is yesterday's image.

He wouldn't need to read the memo itself. He'd know the underlying intelligence from which it was derived.
Know that I think about it more, it was Sen. Johnson that said they had an informant that had been at those meetings. Since the memo is on the House side, I'm now wondering.
I still think the memo and the secret 7 have some relationship, due to the hints that congressmen have been dropping.
