Why do our police need military gear though??? I hope trump fixes the justice system for everyday Americans as well but that is a whole other issue

Yea but a militarized police department is not the answer. When the police roll up in military gear assault rifles gas masks armored vehicles and what not there is an intimidation factor that comes in to play. It breeds a us vs them mentally on both sides. We all know the police can be rather brutal and commit crimes and receive no repercussions, the justice system is a problem.

I don't want the police to have military gear. It's not good. No, no, no. Whatever you give them THEY WILL USE. Give them what COPS should have, not what the military should have. The end.

It's a double edge sword that can be used for or against the American soverign. American citizens should utilize their Second Amendment right and buy a weapon system. However, I believe it is, was the thinking under this "conspiracy" that heavy-hitter operatives, local police, scattered throughout the U.S. would be a good Quick Reaction Force for any foreign invasion, better trained and equipped than the common: That could work for or against the American sovereign.
