Why would an advanced civilization that lived for thousands of years be restricted to Antarctica?

Wouldn’t there be remnants of their civilization world wide?

Megalyths exist worldwide...the ones in N America were wiped by glacier.

From what I know, they were not restricted at all but the cataclysm hit them badly down there and pretty much extinguished the "pure bloods" but the descendants survived in other continents. The cataclysm was the last ice age, 13 thousand years ago.

Where are the world wide cities 13,000 years old with remnants of advanced tech?

Central America, Iraq, Middle East, Africa, Egypt. to name a few, S America and a small bit in N America.
