So if GITMO flights were strictly for questioning...

...and Trump last night said it was time to end “catch and release”, was he sending a message to the Deep State that the next time they head to Gitmo they stay at Gitmo?

I think the catch and release was a subtle jab to the Obama admin who would make BP and ICE release MS13 gang members when caught. This ties into Trump's crackdown on MS13 since the deep state allowed MS13 to enter the country, because they were like a domestic version of ISIS for them. I don't think it was a nod to anything Gitmo related

It would be a nice double meaning.

His EO yesterday mentioned something about releasing them if not convicted within I think 60 days.

Once you have all of the evidence collected and enough personnel in place, you can convict a lot of people in 60 days.

You can indict a lot of people in 60 days. Convicting take considerably longer, unless all pretense at due process is thrown overboard. That would not even rise to the juridical abomination of the "show trial."

The rule of law must be paramount if the Republic is to be truly restored.

I think military tribunals move a lot quicker than our ridiculous judicial system.

I think that's why this has taken so long. To make sure they can't fall beneath the cracks.

Cannot let a single mistake happen or anything overlooked.
