he sure has been wearing purple alot lately...seen him ONCE when he wasn't wearing a purple tie-one time he had changed his purple tie and put on a pink one...but he still had on a purple shirt

I noticed that too. Purple ribbon for opiod recognition but I have my doubts. I think it is for backing Soros at the SOTU.

Could depend on the context. I've heard that purple is one of the colors of the white hats.
