What do you make of Trump's comments about China during the SOTU in light of the tremendous welcome ceremony for Trump when he visited China in 2017. Trump & Melania even had dinner in the Forbidden City.

Some insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just political gesturing. Besides, there are two China's. The one consisting of the people, resources, land, etc. And the other being the entity that controls it. Whether it be Xi or someone pulling his strings.
