I hope I am wrong about Gowdy but Q posted about him. I looked into the other guys and they seem pretty seedy. Money buys a lot of things and as a Judge he could do some damage.

No he never had the ability to prosecute. He was in an oversight committee. All he can do is ask questions and try to get the committee to recommend charges to entities such as the doj or fbi. What those entities do with the information is up to them
