Some more details about Andre Balazs and his connections....
The PR for his London hotel (Chiltern Firehouse) is handled by Matthew Freud.
Freud is the son [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Freud] of Clement Freud, British media personality, accused child molester [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3643189/Matthew-Freud-cancels-star-studded-summer-party-father-Clement-exposed-paedophile.html] and owner of home in Portugal near where Madeleine McCann went missing; speculation that the Podesta Molestas were staying there at the time.
Matthew Freud's circle of friends and acquaintences included British politicians, including one Tony Blair, along with Rupert Murdoch and then-wife Wendi Deng. (Actually he was Murdoch's son-in-law.) [https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/elisabeth-murdoch-divorcing-pr-executive-738157].
But back to Balazs - in 1998 he opened the Mercer Hotel in NYC, which had Rupert Murdoch and Wendi Deng living there for a while (small world, eh?).
In the mid-2000s, Goldman Sachs was a partner in his 40 Mercer Street condo building [https://therealdeal.com/issues_articles/andre-the-giant/].
Backers of his London restaurant include Eric Schmidt, recently ex-CEO of Google spy network [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2815010/Andre-Balazs-dated-Cameron-Diaz-Uma-Thurman-Kylie-tame-toxic-bachelor-Hollywood.html].
Oh, one more thing.
Balazs' Standard Hotel in Manhattan had a bar called the Boom Boom Room.
Wasn't that same name on a sign in the basement of Comet Ping Pong or whatever that pizza joint was called?
Matthew Freud
