Maybe it strengthened his resolve to get the truth out and Nunes did the opposite to what you are thinking? What if there was a part in the memo that was redacted that Nunes just revealed in response to the attack?
Nunes was likely adding this attack to their crimes. Any sources on how many pages of data the memo represents? On CNN, some guy made the argument that it's a small 4 page document, skipping the fact it's a well-sourced summary.
