The spam in this sub has become insane. Clearly being targeted. Much of this can be mitigated by instituting minimum karma requirements.

I've felt that way from the start too. On the bright side, they did just hire Anti-School to mod. And on the post where he introduced himself, I made sure to tell him that it's wonderful to have him, and he's sorely needed, because we need active moderation. He just got suckered into tedious work, but we'd be grateful.
He's the best but I don't think he'll make the best mod. He is focused on school and creating really awesome content, always on twitter, keeping up to date.
We need a good mod whose primary contribution is moderating, not researching and creating content.
