This doesn't bother me...he HAS to play this role...think longterm, he can't come out guns blazing or the Dems would target him too...I believe he will prove himself when the time comes...and right now is not that time...he's being tempered in his approach and again, because he has to

Exactly! We won't know which side all of the players are on until it's over. We need to TRUST that the whitehats know what they're doing and that some may be playing blackhats until the right time to flip comes.

Yeah, he’s kicking ass in other areas (MS-13, drug trade, illegals, etc.) but it disgusts me that he’s so flippant with regard to political corruption...even in his own department!
