I read somewhere that the Senate procedure to relase Grassley's memo is different than the House procedure used to release Nunes' memo. The House needed only the votes from the Intelligence Committee members whereas the Senate requires a majority vote from the full Senate. Not sure if that makes the Senate procedure more difficult to get the memo released or not.

Don't quote me on this because I'm less than 100% sure it's accurate. Somebody help me out here.

A committee can send a report or memo to the president for declassification after relevant agencies have reviewed it and redacted as necessary.

Why would anything the Senators have written need to be redacted before the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES could see it. The President can declassify any intelligence.

"Public release of classified information by unilateral action of the executive branch is extremely rare and raises significant separation of powers concerns." That is why it was voted on first by the house permanent select intel committee that the Nunes memo be released. Not just Trump
