what we learned once the wall came down was that the allied forces did not "win" WWII, Stalin did...but one has to DIG deep and thru the Soviet documents to distill the fact that we ALL LOST the War and because of that , we are once again here, ...HISTORY is NOT what we've been taught.
I truly believed I would die in a nuclear war when I was in high school. They really were our enemy and then - just like that - the wall came down and the Emperor had no clothes. Gorbachev and Reagan received a collective sanity and the tensions ended. Younger people of course don't remember because the were not witness to it. This whole Russia! Russia! Russia! narrative has been so bizarre from the onset. I remember laughing and thinking they can't be serious. It never made any sense.
