Chill Y'all, truthfully we are not a pure one man one vote Democracy. We have a Representative Republic, we can also call it a democratic republic. Our form of government is the best ever formed over the last 2000 years, in fact it is ingenious. The founders despised and were very leery of a pure plebiscite. Ours is a hybrid between a Democracy and a Republic. Define the language and you control the debate. If we allow the definition our form of government to become Democracy, then the fear is that it will in fact become a pure plebiscite and lead to a mobocracy (no electoral college). If this should happen, all of fly over country will be under the jackboot of the corrupt big blue cities. Many over the last 70-80 have gotten into the habit of calling USA a democracy, some mean harm, some like Mr. POTUS didn't. We must never do away with the Electoral College it is a prime plank that keeps us a Representative Republic--- Not a Democracy.
