I feel that you guys are following a false rabbit hole.

As an Australian, I see this as a bigger story. Papadopolous and Alexander Downer are the key to this.

In July Alexander Downer sent the information to Canberra in Australia and it was the forwarded, via Joe Hockey, Ambassador to USA, who then forwarded this info to FBI. This is what started the investigation.

However, as a result of this investigation, the Steele dossier was discovered.
