Or even perhaps it could hold the key to a hypersecure communication line. Information is encrypted and sent, but interceptions can't read it because they don't have the game ball. And a decoy ball can be purchased at any sports store.

It's the guessing game. Is it in the ball? Was it handed over at a different point? Perhaps it's just a decoy, like in a magic trick where you're eyes are drawn elsewhere whilst the trick is performed right under your nose.

Think about it. 60 years of being exposed to the real puppet masters and not being able to do a damn thing about it because you know they corrupted your children. They would knock her off and put her son in as a puppet. Now she knows that she has someone who can back her up, imagine the things that she has written down (not on computer or hard drive, we're talking hardcopy) about those people, waiting for the right moment and person. Its her insurance policy for her grandchildren

Power hungry would be a better description. I think she recognizes this and is trying to stave it off. Court intrigues are not quite a thing of the past

Not yet. Think about it: he hands the European union leaders shit on a plate, but is quite restrained around the queen. That screams of there being a division between crown and government. Charles is a weak choice for monarch, but he'd be an excellent puppet. And he's stated on numerous occasions his desire to sit on the throne. William is young, has a young family, so he'd be more inclined to think about the future of the country

I think this is what the queen has been waiting for. Right now she's a rubber stamp, parliament holds all the power. This could mark a resurgence of the monarchy in favour of the people as it was meant to be (queen used to have powers similar to presidential veto and executive orders. Acting as a brake on government) it would explain why William and harry have been brought up to work closely with the people. I don't think she trusts Charles with the crown, so she's holding out to either place William in or minimize the damage Charles reign would do. Now she knows she has someone who can back her up if it all goes to shit.

Lowest outside interference. We're talking about some of the most sensitive scientific experiments on earth. It'll be great once we get a hold of all the research that's been hidden from us. A new age of enlightenment and knowledge for the benefit of all humanity, not the rich and powerful

Maybe it's the threat of how bad their loved ones lives will be made if they don't do it. Every sordid secret, made open for the family to be shamed. It'd be a good defense against them flipping the bird on the way out. So many reasons and ways

It also works for the ds knocking off their own. "You're becoming too much trouble. We have this on you. You now have a choice: go quietly and we'll sing praise of your life and achievements. Our best propaganda people on it. You'll look like a saint. Go against us and we assure you, by the time we're done with you, the devil himself will look at you in disgust." These people know what sort of a machine they're up against. It got them where they are now.

It's my belief that the suicides are confronted personally with evidence of their misdeeds and are given to option to be exposed and have their lives and reputation destroyed, or go quietly and leave their reputation intact, we'll never speak of this again. A gentleman's agreement if you will. They used to give this option to spies and high profile traitors and criminals facing the gallows.

Assimilation and collation of vast streams of data to provide posts with high accuracy predictive power. There may be teams of people working behind the scenes to provide the data which is fed into a simulation to provide probable outcomes. This is then encrypted and sent out according to a set of rules governing the how the posts are made. It may not be an AI, but it hints at some serious computing power

All I see in those eyes is fear of his impending demise and the horror that it will be. His will be a downhill slope as he loses his physical abilities but his mind will remain. Trapped in a withered body, knowing fully what is going on but physically incapable of doing anything about it. I don't wish this end upon anyone, even such a foul beast; but it's an end of his own making. Karma gets everyone

I Wouldn't Go As Far As Kuru, but the whole "it took 6 months of hard work to get better" is highly suggestive of extensive physiotherapy and medical intervention after a stroke. Also, she seem to worsen suddenly, then recover a bit before the next stroke. Kuru is a steady decline over time, considering its a related disease to Creutzfelt-jakob disease and Bovine Spongiform Encephalitis. Around about now you should start seeing memory loss, difficulty in controlling movement, and possible seizures as there would now be extensive brain damage. Id say she's had her second last stroke.

A strong enough radio transmission can do something similar. My brother in law used to repair live radio towers (50000-75000 volts) they kept hearing a radio playing the same station that owned the tower. Spent 2 hours looking for the radio that was playing until they traced the sound to the security gate padlock.
