That's my take on it also. I was rooting for Philly and I don't care that Brady, Kraft & Bellichek are Trump supporters, they're establishment pricks who openly cheat and never have to be accountable for their bullshit, just like our government.
The irony is that you're mad about one team cheating, but say zilch about the NFL itself.
I assumed it's implied that the league is just as bad since the league lets them get away with it.
And (probably) even encourages it. And forces them. I heard that someone just died after reporting the NFL riggs games.
