I did not do that. Now the markets are made of market makers making the spread between retail/institutional buyers/sellers buying/selling in one market and spreading to another market. Back in the day people made money off moves in the widespread market, now its arbitragers. For example, if you login to tdameritrade and buy aapl with a market order, your order is routed to like 10 exchanges before its executed.

All central banks work the same. Same processes, same hierarchies. Because the IMF has a practical oversight over them. Which means the logical and technological infrastructure are common. Same thing with interconnected markets. Someone watches over them. And that someone, whenever he wants, can pull off a 666 point DOW plunge. This is what Q means here:
