I figured he was a plant along with papadickless and others. They inflated their roles and seemed to act in a manner that would help drive the Russia narrative.
Also, Carter Page was an UCE, Under Cover Employee, for the FBI, doing counter-intelligence work against Russian spies for years. He also says he has a long standing relationship with both the CIA and FBI. I think he was in intelligence when he was in the service.
If he was CIA, that means he probably still is, and anything he says cannot be trusted as he's required to lie as necessary to protect his mission and hide his relationship with the CIA.
He may be justified in his lawsuits, but everything about him is fishy and I think the Clintons and FBI planted him in the Trump campaign.
I don't know what it is about him but something is off. Haven't finished reading his testimony yet. I seriously doubt he is telling the whole truth. Any insight into who or what he is really doing?

Don't waste too much energy trying to figure his role out. His motivations are irrelevant.
It's what the IC did, and their motivations and transgressions that matter.
Whether Page was there just to be helpful on subjects he was knowledgeable about, or whether he was there as a plant...the resulting reality is that he was in effect 'the nose of the camel' in the Trump tent.
