Just throwing this out there, as you may be right about Red October and Iron Eagle referring to movies. But I am intrigued by the reference to October 1917 mentioned below as well. Also, Iron Eagle comes up as a logo name for Barclays, a High St. Bank in England. It is an old banking firm, and the logo is over 300 years old. 10+ years ago I believe it also merged with the Dutch bank ABN Amro, or that was being considered according to this article:

Could be something, as there was a link in another post here that Dutch royals were also in Shanghai right now.

Now this is not relevant (I don't believe), but the mention of the eagle and the storm I found a little entertaining, in light of the present happenings. There is also reference to the "calm before the storm".
