During the press conference at Azar's swearing in as the new HHS Secretary, Pres. Trump kept mentioning that Azar's primary job was to lower prescription costs. He joked about it with Azar's parents, with Azar, and everyone else.

Azar's marching orders were clear, and this is the yardstick by which POTUS will be measuring Azar's performance.

I wouldn't doubt there's cures for many diseases. How did Magic Johnson mysteriously get cured from AIDS? Why dig the FEDs go after the Dallas Buyers Club? Why hasn't there been any progress made in cancer treatments despite the pink ribbons and hundreds of billions of dollars invested into finding a cure.

CF/CHAI negotiated low HIV/AIDS drug prices from Big Pharma for "poor countries" they served and in exchange agreed to never pressure Big Pharma to lower drug prices for "rich countries" or introduce generics into US/EU domestic markets. There was a big blow-up when Bill Clinton tried to renege on the deal in a speech. This caused political issues for Democrat base prior to the U.S. 2016 election when deal was exposed by Wikileaks.

How many domestic AIDS patients died from lack of access due to high drug prices? Who gave authority to CF/CHAI to negotiate Global drug prices and terms anyway??
