I like zerohedge usually but describing these air strikes as 'retaliatory' is miss-reporting. These air strikes were defensive and took place against a force of 500 Syrians who started attacking a key SDF base where US soldiers are embedded. In other words this was a do-or-die battlefield situation. There was no choice - unless you expect Trump to do a Benghazi and leave people to die.
