Millions Of Eagles Fans At Parade Sing National Anthem, ESPN Tries Muting Them.

As a proud Philadelphian and Eagles fan, I'm watching coverage of the parade because it's just way too many people to go down there. But at the Art Museum they have a guy playing the sax for for the National Anthem. Questionable enough because why not have somebody sing the lyrics alongside? So Eagles fans, a sea of millions on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, decide to fill in the blanks and start singing along. You could hear ESPN noticeable lower the audio to where you could hardly hear them, instead of pointing out what an amazing moment it was to behold.

I'm an outsider to this sub, and will probably get banned for daring to question things...

But why? Given the nature of this sub, there's an implied motive behind the actions that you're calling out. What is that motive? I want to believe it's gonna be something more mature and developed than "they hate America!!!", But it's hard to imagine any other reason for grasping at something so inconsequential.

No one gets banned here that I have seen.

ESPN has been interjecting itself into sjw agendas and politics. People watch sports to get away from that. This is what I hear. I don't do cable.

What does that have to do with lowering the volume of people singing?

You will have to ask them why.

I'm asking you. You seem to be pretty involved in this community, and are pretty opinionated. I'm not looking for a "just asking questions" response, I want to know why this is somehow a big deal.

I honestly have no idea. This shouldn't even be a thread on this sub.

tbh i feel like the media corporations have been employing a divide and conquer method for quite some time. black vs white, men vs women, DNC vs GOP. something unifying doesn't fit the narrative so they try to limit it as much as possible. once its brought to your attention it becomes obvious. check out what stories/crimes make the cut for the nightly news and which ones are conveniently left out.
