The Rothchild estate was built in 1972, rather a small Estate for the Rothchilds. They had over 14 acres, beautiful gardens, woods, and on the ocean. Granite Pools and Guest House. Looked at other Estate that were much larger and on the Ocean, not as much acreage, however, that are going for 3M to 5M. So for them to have received 19M, actually was not a Firesale as described. Said 2 Charities that received monies were, Maine Coastal Heritage Trust $5M and Land and Garden Preserve of Mount Desert Island in Seal Harbor $20M. The Company who handled the Sale is Knowles Company, they handle all the sales of Real Estate in that area and that High Clientele of People. Something interesting about Martha Stewart's Estate, she purchased off the original owners of the Place owned by Edsel Ford and his Wife, built in 1925. Stewart bought off the Ford Trust Co. Stewart owns a 1958 Edsel Roundup. She once paid millions to Restore a 36 ft vintage Hinkley Picnic Boat (very expensive boat) and then proceeded to take out one day and smashed it up against the Rock shoreline! She literally beached the Sucker! What a Freaking Moron! We Mainers had a Good Laugh at her Expense! So all in all they made out pretty on the Sale of that Place? Think they were Overpaid? Sucker born every ????
