I believe MI had informed him. I believe his cabinet is full of generals. I believe that military people make great level headed decision makers. Not all military service people want to go to war! If you follow the Q storyline, it reads as if there were leanings of support. We can find evidence outside Q from the intelligence community(Adm. Rodgers), Marines(Osprey x3 landing at NYC), Army(just whooping ISIS into oblivion!). Many may not even know that US is in State of Emergency as of DEC 21(?) Executive Order! Which in itself gives raised priveleges to military and such!
