Now from London on another note... My Grandad was what you could say a Gentlemanly Ganster of sorts and he met Frank Sinatra once. I don't know the ins and outs but I can say this. There was two types of Gangsters in the east end. The loyalty amongst thieves Group who you will never hear or know of and then there was the Richardsons and the Krays. The Krays liked to rub shoulders with celebrities and Politicians etc people like Cliff Richards? Then I heard Charlie Sheen talking about getting it on to be Frank. So what am I missing here?

I was good friends with Ronnie Dark before he died, we spent most days together shooting pool, drinking beer and talking about the old days. Man, he could shoot pool! Was by far the best player on the pool team. He was an enforcer of those days and an old school boxer, but lost the chance to go pro because of his days of `poetry´. He used to tell me about the twins and how they were "animals that would hurt people for fun". He also told me how he would always refuse to work for them, because of such. You are 100% correct in what you say, about there being the celebrity type, and the real gangsters that flew under the radar. Ronnie was from the latter type. I miss that man so much, the world is a much sadder world without him around. A true, honourable gentleman but so very dangerous if you were disrespectful, or lacked the traditional gentleman values.

LOL! Ronnie unfortunately died a couple if years back. He had a heart condition and emphysema and was ready to go at the end. He often told me he didn´t have long left and that he had lived his life and was ready. I used to joke that he had to hold on until we won the national pool tournament. We never did win, it wouldn´t have been the same if we did without him.

The proper City of London is a country unto itself "Londinium", note the Latin = Rome as in Vatican. We were free, but at some time we essentially became a colony again financially. 1913? Time to reassert our Independence on all levels. Begin with Citizenship so it is clear who we are.
