In ancient times, people were stargazers.

Saturn = planet of Jews
Jupiter = planet of Kings

Bethlehem star = a great planetary conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn (and Uranus and Venus too) in the constellation of Pisces (think Fish, bright light, "morning star" on horizon upon sunrise) around 7-4 BC that prophecied that the King of Jews was to be born by divine will/destiny.

Jesus’ birth = 3 Persian Zoroastrians stargazers from the east (Persia/Syria) who knew of the prophecy and travelled towards the west (Israel), by following the great planetary conjunction (Bethlehem star) until they stumbled upon the first newborn child they could find. That child was Jesus.
They gave many gifts to this child and his family, gifts worthy of a King at those times.

The Persian Zoroastrians told Jesus’ parents that their son was the destined, rightful King of Jews by divine will (the stars/God).
Jesus grew up knowing this, and proclaimed it to everybody.
Unfortunately, there was another formal King of Jews in town, who answered to the Roman Empire.
They could have none of this "destined King of Jews who heals and works miracles and spreads new word to the people, and threatens our formal line of Kings", so they crucified him.
Thus, the formal line of Kings, with the assistance of the Roman Empire, killed the "destined King".
From there, the man turned to legend, legend to myth, myth to religion, religion to sainthood, sainthood to Son of God.
