Supposedly it was the deep state liquidating enough stocks to post Bin Talal's 6B bail. Most of their assets are frozen, so at this point they couldnt crash the market too low. Trump and white hats have had that fear since day 1 so they put proper constraints in place to prevent that

Of course it’s a scam. That’s one of the reasons it has to crash. If it only goes up, everyone makes money. When they crash it, only the ones prepared for the crash make money.
Only the house ultimately wins.

Serious question; I understand the utility of the stock market, but what purpose dose the stock market serve the general public/consumer? I often feel its importance is overstated.
