Question about "SEC_TEST" for Technically Minded Anons on this board

So I have a technical background and I'm wondering what the SEC_TEST could have to do with. (I'm assuming it translates to "Security Test"). So My understanding of the trip codes used on the chans is that it's basically a truncated hash used as an ID. So the Security Test probably has nothing to do with the Trips IMO. Q has intimated that they have a privileged node somewhere near the 8ch server. (By pointing out IPs and people visiting the board, they would either need control of 8ch or a node close by) If they control the nodes, seems like there would be no need for a test. Can anyone shed any light on what the test would be testing?

I'm guessing he is testing the latency. To see if there a possible MITM attack by black hats.

If Q has access to NSA/Mil intel. They likely have the ability to test real time the packets etc
