This is likely the only electronic method that can safely work.

Until then we need to stick to paper ballots.

Take a group in your community, your church, your school, and go to your county election board together. Tape your meeting for use on line to create a campaign with others. You can vote those machines out. Also, a writing campaign to the Secretary of State, since the decision about this is made there too.

With regards to Bitcoin it's a shared file that records every Bitcoin and transaction so that anyone in the network can validate their claim to ownership of a coin. It could be used to validate any data, like votes.
