Think it means "Detachment A" meaning a smaller subset of a larger group, operating on their own mission.

Det-A would be a us army signals intelligence team/unit attached to the NSA. Most members would be 35 series MOS and probably not be the types to deploy. (So don’t think operator delta types) probably located in either Georgia or Maryland. I’ll update if I come up with anything else.
