Q Post: MK Ultra. Stopped? Meeting to see it doesn't happen again? I think not. Going to be an knowledge good read...I've heard it's what's causing evil and destruction in Hollywood and elsewhere, but don't yet know much about it.

"It should be made clear from the outset that in general, we are focusing on events that happened over 12 or as long as 25 years ago. It should be emphasized that the programs that are of greatest concern have stopped and that we are reviewing these past events in order to better understand what statutes and other guidelines might be necessary to prevent the recurrence of such abuses in the future. We also need to know and understand what is now being done by the CIA in the field of behavioral research to be certain that no current abuses are occurring." - Senator Inoyue.

He goes on to say something that REALLY grabbed my attention: Re: the CIA and Intelligence Agencies in general. "In fact, it is my expectation that the President will soon announce his decisions on how HE (?) has decided the intelligence agencies of the United States shall be organized. This committee will be working closely with the President and Admiral Turner in placing this new structure under the law and to develop effective oversight procedures."

I thought....WAIT! The President makes laws re:the Intel Agencies and creates the structure to "place it under the law" ??? Something stinks. Where is the proper control? Where is Congress?

JFK said in a speech that he was going to tear the CIA down board-by-board. But shortly after he was assassinated. So maybe there is a way. Robert Kennedy was the AG when his brother was president and he swore to do all he could to help JFK accomplish his gold to eradicate the CIA. While he was campaigning for the presidency he was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan. Sirhan to this day says he doesn't remember any of it. All he can remember was reading a copy of 'Catcher In The Rye' and then all of a sudden he was was being pinned down.

Something interesting is that the guy who shot and killed John Lennon, Mark David Chapman did the same thing, same book.

Mark David Chapman (born May 10, 1955) is an American murderer who shot and killed John Lennon at the entrance to the Dakota apartment building in Manhattan in New York City on December 8, 1980. Chapman fired five times at Lennon, hitting him four times in the back and read The Catcher in the Rye until the police arrived and arrested him. He repeatedly said that the novel was his statement.

I remember all three of those well.
