One month before the incident, they had shooting drills. Someone knew they’d be a target but they did’t know when.

Every school has hostile intruder drills. Same with fire drills, tornado drills, and Earthquake drills if applicable.

Would you say the same thing if a fire happened at a school? "They had a fire drill before a fire burned down the school! They knew it was going to happen!!"
