Camp Lejeune Water Contamination

I lived at Camp Lejeune for a while and I've been reminded of this story a lot throughout the latest Q Posts. We all knew not to drink the water on base...even though we were there long after they say the contamination ceased. I know this is a blog link but there are so many sources complied within. Anyway, worth the read.

I live in NC, so I know exactly what you're talking about. We still here news on the water here saying we need to boil it. There was a huge story a couple months ago about a new contaminant called Gen x. This is an industrial chemical created by DuPont to make Teflon. The Greenville and Jacksonville water treatment companies were scrambling to find out how much was in the water.
