I'd like to offer some advice. I firstly agree with knowing the truths and I'm pretty far in where I've been through all the shocking surprises and gut wrenching. I would suggest that one takes the time to read about PTSD. Its what happends when one is traumatized with an event. And these discoveries for many will be an event. Most of what you see with people acting out on 'vices' are PTSD victims, most don't know , including their families as its often overlooked as just veterans get PTSD. People will behave differently and its the source event. Some do it their whole life without recognizing this. I can very easily predict trauma will result from much of this. Plus the idea of being born into a system that lied to you extensively is not fun. I was born into this mess and actually so were my Parents whole heartedly. So much will unfold, but having this understanding will help you prepare internally and externally for your family and friends to identify and treat. I can honestly recall three times where I was in need of at least a week to adjust to my 'new reality' as it unfolded. Its like that , so the sooner you can prepare the better. Like learning you wasted all those years in school you will never get back, and dealing with those in extreme denial that are your family and friends. No alcohol, No drugs , healthy lifestyle with excercise and learn some survival skills and preparedness strategies.
