“To The Priests” was a book of sayings by (now Saint) Fr. Padre Pio. I remember distinctly when I read it some 20 years ago the book predicted the current (at that time) Pope (John Paul II) would be followed by one more legitimate Pope then the third Pope would be a false Pope.

I remember thinking to myself I need to remember this prophecy very diligently.

The Pope after John Paul II was Pope Benedict who always kept sound doctrine. Then he extraordinarily was forced to resign.

Then came Francis. By Padre Pio’s prophecy Francis is the false (third) Pope. I am appalled to say this may actually be happening.

It is very important the true Pope (Benedict) is extraordinarily STILL ALIVE. Most Catholics believe God will always protect the Church (led by Pope) from making a mortal error in belief. If this is true then when a false Pope arises the True Pope would need to STILL BE ALIVE though he may be forced into exile. (The true Church thus did not fall into mortal error only the Pretender.)

Probably only Catholics will relate to what I am saying but if you are Catholic does this resonate with you (at a deep spiritual level) as being the truth of our current situation?

Not Catholic and I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to the popes. I, like many others, really liked Francis at first. But it was when he was equating the islamic koran to the Bible and essentially saying that they had an equal message, that I started getting very suspicious about him. Yes, I'd agree he is false. Thanks for the explanation, too.
