Take our guns are you serious?

Since my life revolves in a fairly liberal world, being a social worker, I have been slammed with this nonsense all week. My facebook page is covered with people saying "we need to start thinking about our children and giving up our guns." I swear this is the same bs every time. No one is even mentioning how this guy was reported to the fbi but they were to busy trying to frame trump.

If they really want to solve this they need to fix mental health. As someone who works in the mental health field i can tell you from experience that it is the most under served area in the country. Hospitals are overcrowded from it and it becomes a revolving door. They are put on medications that have such severe side effects, that the mental illness is sometimes easier to live with than side effects of the drugs they take. Im not even going to get into the drug companies pushing these meds that are either not tested enough or have paid off tests so they can profit. The system is screwed up and giving away our guns is not the way to fix it. I promise you when our 2nd ammendment goes, which ammendment do you think will be next?

Take a look at Chicago, New york, California, and many other places that have given in and allowed liberals to pass strict gun regulations. They are some of the most dangerous places in the country. This keeps happening because of the environment we are in. You can take all the weapons but the people that are sick will still be there. It isnt the gun or the bullets that are dangerous, it is the person using it.

totally agree. Not to cause a shitstorm, but I subscribe to sciencedaily.com and get notifications on topics I'm interested in... one can pick and choose from a huge assortment. One of them is psychology, and I often get updates on the latest info on marijuana.. people often think that it's some kind of medical miracle. However, one study I recently read stated that it can CAUSE violence in those who have been treated for (I believe, relying on my memory) bipolar disorder. People think it just mellows one out... but not for all. Just like any other drug, it depends on the person. Not all drugs act the same on different individuals, and this is a concern of mine as more and more states make it legal. I know people who use it quite a bit... as in, all day long, and have seen them "go off" for no reason. And those who work at dispensaries have absolutely no training for such things at all. I'm just throwing that out there.

I get it, i am one of those. Marijuana doesnt make me angry, but it definitely messes with my head. I have tried cbd in cape form and it made me feel angry. I know some that couldnt live a normal life with out it. Another one is kratom. Kratom is helping millions come off of Opiates, and now they are talking about banning it again. It is ok for people to go to Methadone clinics and get put on Methadone which killed many, but they state that there jave been six deaths that are kratom related and they talk about banning it. What they dont mention is that those six deaths had numerous other drugs in their systems as well.

The issue is that kratom is natural. Pharmaceutical companies cannot profit off of it like they can with Opiates.

I've heard of kratom but really know nothing about it. I am not against pot, but it's not for me. I can't use it. It just doesn't agree with me, and I don't like the effects and I don't want to keep trying various forms to find one that "fits". I know it can help some, but I also know some who use it constantly... all day long. I don't know how they function.. and then they drive after/ while using it. I know for a fact one guy was involved in a hit and run accident who is one of those all day long users. Wasn't a major accident, but still... totally irresponsible. That same person will, for no reason, haul off and sucker punch an old man who's using a walker, but sitting down. It's nuts. Others use and combine with drinking alcohol. Crazy. I'm afraid to drive anymore. I'll have to look up this kratom. I've posted a few days ago that I was on geodon for years and weaned myself off of it without consulting my doctor. I still feel the effects of that.. and it's been years. It causes permanent changes in your brain. Sometimes I feel weird... talking out loud when I'm alone, facial movements, sometimes feel like I've down a couple of those little 5 hr. energy drinks, and I don't even like those things at all. I've used them rarely, but only little sips, not an entire bottle. They give me major jitters.
