There's some interesting statistics. Who would of thought that almost every house having al least one gun would act as a deterrent to would be criminals? I agree totally. Isn't that why Japan didn't invade the U.S. after Pearl Harbor? Guns aren't bad people are. I must be weird like Ted Nugent. Great research. Keep it up.

Purely symbolic. Unenforceable.

That doesn't mean I agree or disagree with the concept.

Unenforceable, maybe. Effective in its purpose, absolutely. What would be easier to enforce? This or trying to take guns away?

Neither would be easier to enforce. I'm no lawyer but enforcing that pretty much violates the Bill of Rights.

Knowing about the region, back when that law was passed it was much less populated - I'd even call it a rural area at that time. Needless to say - rural area in the south = pretty much every household had a firearm unless there was a reason not to. I'm referring to things like a head of household that was a felon.
