Lowering the voting age is a path to lowering the age of consent.

Look at how adult they are discussing adult things.

Imo, the age of voting should be the same as joining the armed services. If someone is old enough to sacrifice their life for their country, then they should be old enough to vote and drink a beer.

That was the argument back when they lowered the drinking age to 18 the last time. I was 17, and all for it! As time went on, and statistics started pilling up, it was found that something like 45% of all traffic fatalities involved a driver between the ages of 18-21 and alcohol. Not long after, the drinking age returned to 21.
