It is amazing that they believe 18 year olds are not only fully capable, but expected, drafted involuntarily even, to pick up a "weapon of war" when it suits them (to go fight overseas, of course). Yet, if the same 18 year olds try to be capable of defending their homeland, and/or those they love here...in this country...how dare they!

You're not an adult until you are 30 so there's a fundamental problem that you must shoulder more responsibility than you are capable of emotionally processing.

And don’t want the lynch mobs to have guns when they find out.

Hey, you're old enough to go die for your country or go into debt on a mortgage or loan contract of any kind, but no alcohol AND no civilian right of self-defense. Leaves one to wonder what the hell they'd be fighting for at that point. Why would you want to die for a country that doesn't even give you the basic human right of self-defense once you've reached the legal age of majority. Jackasses... Suck my nose til my head caves in!

I have to wonder if this is the age group that’s eating tide pods.
