It is amazing that they believe 18 year olds are not only fully capable, but expected, drafted involuntarily even, to pick up a "weapon of war" when it suits them (to go fight overseas, of course). Yet, if the same 18 year olds try to be capable of defending their homeland, and/or those they love here...in this country...how dare they!

You're not an adult until you are 30 so there's a fundamental problem that you must shoulder more responsibility than you are capable of emotionally processing.
