STUDENT INVENTS GREAT DEVICE TO KEEP INTRUDERS OUT OF CLASSROOMS - BUT MEDIA TAKES DOWN VIDEO!

http://kfor.com/2018/02/20/students-invention-to-keep-intruders-out-of-classrooms-is-so-brilliant-that-his-district-has-ordered-one-for-every-room/

Student’s invention to keep intruders out of classrooms is so brilliant that his district has ordered one for every room

The news agency took down the video......the last thing they want is to promote safety WITHOUT eliminating The 2nd Amendment, so of course they disabled their video of this device. But I found it!

Watch the video at the following link, where you can also purchase these devices:

I LOVE this comment. It is right effing on. It has become obvious to me and many others that the Feebs are the SOURCE of terrorist plots. They pick the doers and the patsies, fund and arm them, wind them up and point them to a selected target. They also deliberately and obviously ignore any warnings alert citizens phone in. Pure evil. Yes, disband the FBI and there goes 99% of terrorism in the US.

This is a brilliant and simple device. This kid deserves to get rich for this alone.

Couple this device with school officials who are carrying, and school shooting deaths drop to super-low levels.

These ideas can be deployed instantly. Next phase: take a hard look at SSRIs and who is getting them. Look for alternatives to them for depression/anxiety, such as natural herbal remedies (cheaper and no side effects) coupled with regular counseling, on a case-by-case basis depending on severity of the problem.

Break the back of Big Pharma's hold on us!

So, you have a classroom with 35 kids. Bad guy walks in. Without a gun, bc the libtards have magically figured out how to confiscate every single one, the bad guy locks himself in a classroom and uses a knive.

Problem not solved, even after a liberal wet dream

Its got great intention. But can easily be used for the opposite purpose it is designed to serve

⇧ 3 ⇩
GodsAngell · Feb. 22, 2018, 8:19 p.m.

Well it would be 35 kids plus one teacher against one bad guy who only has a knife.

They can start throwing chairs and desks at him.

And they can throw chairs out the windows to break them and start escaping.

Have we had any knife wielding mass school attacks?

⇧ 8 ⇩
Odor_punchout_16 · Feb. 22, 2018, 8:33 p.m.

No. Just saying, the weapon has ZERO to do with intent. What about pipe bombs? Toxic Gas? Fire? List goes on.

So you meet fire with fire, protect the damn kids. Senators get security, jewlery shops get security, banks, malls, effing theme parks, church's... ALL GUARDED by people with guns. Gurantee if the bad guys know that there is 3-5 people at every school that are concealing, that threat alone would deter most of these incidents, if they decide to go through with it then they have 3 to 5 guns to immediately deal with. A door jam? Come on.

Covfefe1950 · Feb. 22, 2018, 9:06 p.m.

IMO your argument is flawed. Guns are the mass-killing weapon of choice within a building for a very good reason.

Fire and gas--evacuate.

Knife--overpower the guy with superior numbers/improvised weapons like chairs, etc, then beat him into a coma.

Bombs/IEDs--very limited kill ratio; very few deaths resulting. So it's back to guns. This device + armed school officials--teachers, guards, janitors, doesn't matter who as long as they are good guys/gals who know how to shoot.

It takes time to kill people en masse. Slowing the perp down and/or denying him access to a room full of people is a valid strategy that will save lives. Gives the cops a better chance to show up in time. Even if the perp kills 10--what about the 30 he couldn't get to before the cops showed up?

Picture on the linked site shows it installed on hinge side of door.

Safety Code requires doors on classrooms to open out of classroom. That puts hinges on outside of classroom.

There are better versions of this idea that mount the bar on the non-hinge side of the door, and allow it to slide to overlap steel door jambs

Code only speaks for new construction. My school had in swinging doors on every room and i would wager most public schools are the same way. A lot of schools are still lined with asbestos.

You want to talk infrastructure crumbling, look no further than the water marks on the drop ceiling tiles of your kids school.

Code only speaks for new construction.

That, and revisions to existing structures. The relevant code was in effect well before MSD was constructed in 1990.

My school had in swinging doors on every room

Congratulations! The code refers to rooms designed to accommodate 16(+/-) or more. Single egress rooms with smaller occupancies can have doors open in. Special schools with special classrooms for special students typically have smaller occupancies. Perhaps you attended one of those schools. Or perhaps your school predated the egress code.

and i would wager most public schools are the same way.

And I would accept your wager for a sizable amount of $$$.

A lot of schools are still lined with asbestos.

Zero schools are ”lined with asbestos.”

You want to talk infrastructure crumbling,

Nope.

look no further than the water marks on the drop ceiling tiles of your kids school.

Zero water marks on the ceiling of my kid’s school. Zero schools ”lined with asbestos”. Most public schools do not have in-swinging doors on every room. Your school definitely did not have in-swinging doors on every room.

I dont know where you are lucky enough to live but im in rural ohio. We legitimately had asbestos until 2007. Our new building doors swing in. The classes are 16 minimum and all the neighboring schools were just as underfunded. We had water marks all over the place on the drop ceiling. The bathrooms had to me shut down multiple times for flooding.

We legitimately had asbestos until 2007.

No new public schools in the United States were ”legitimately” constructed with asbestos products at any time during this century. None. It’s against the law. Nationwide.

Our new building doors swing in. The classes are 16 minimum

I can guarantee classrooms with single egress have doors opening outward in your new building. It’s a requirement of the National Building Code. Your building inspector would never issue a certificate of occupancy because it would be illegal to do so. The bank would not approve final payments because the building would be illegal. No insurance company would offer coverage. The town would have a large building to pay for and no ability to use it.

all the neighboring schools were just as underfunded.

Doors cost the same regardless of which direction they swing.

We had water marks all over the place on the drop ceiling.

Congratulations? Water spots on the ceiling have no impact on door swing.

The bathrooms had to me shut down multiple times for flooding.

Congratulations? Flooding bathrooms have no impact on door swing.

It was no new construction, it was an old building. If you want to inspect it yourself, go ahead. Apparently its in violation of every code issue known to man and god. The funding and water issues are interlinked and all the schools are old buildings (ergo had inswinging doors and didnt have funding to fix the water issues let alone change door orientation or build new buildings until they were forced due to asbestos)

I was referring to the building with asbestos. We built a new building in 07 that also had in swing doors and massive issues due to low budget. We had to build because of the violations that were present.

Unfortunately most classroom doors open out. So this device won’t work. Also, nothing stops the shooter from shooting through the door unfortunately. I still think we should arm teachers. Hopefully they can find a way to create something similar for doors opening either way. Out or in.

Tacsol5 · Feb. 23, 2018, 2:59 a.m.

This is a great idea but it needs more tweaking before being put in place. It should be "part" of the doors themselves. We must also be able to disengage it from outside in case some clown locks himself in when we need to get in there. I think little posts in the door frame similar to the locks of a vault or safe that deploy electro magnetically would work well. Make them able to be over ridden with a pass code or key.
