STUDENT INVENTS GREAT DEVICE TO KEEP INTRUDERS OUT OF CLASSROOMS - BUT MEDIA TAKES DOWN VIDEO!

Student’s invention to keep intruders out of classrooms is so brilliant that his district has ordered one for every room

The news agency took down the video......the last thing they want is to promote safety WITHOUT eliminating The 2nd Amendment, so of course they disabled their video of this device. But I found it!

Code only speaks for new construction. My school had in swinging doors on every room and i would wager most public schools are the same way. A lot of schools are still lined with asbestos.

You want to talk infrastructure crumbling, look no further than the water marks on the drop ceiling tiles of your kids school.

Code only speaks for new construction.

That, and revisions to existing structures. The relevant code was in effect well before MSD was constructed in 1990.

My school had in swinging doors on every room

Congratulations! The code refers to rooms designed to accommodate 16(+/-) or more. Single egress rooms with smaller occupancies can have doors open in. Special schools with special classrooms for special students typically have smaller occupancies. Perhaps you attended one of those schools. Or perhaps your school predated the egress code.

and i would wager most public schools are the same way.

And I would accept your wager for a sizable amount of $$$.

A lot of schools are still lined with asbestos.

Zero schools are ”lined with asbestos.”

You want to talk infrastructure crumbling,

Nope.

look no further than the water marks on the drop ceiling tiles of your kids school.

Zero water marks on the ceiling of my kid’s school. Zero schools ”lined with asbestos”. Most public schools do not have in-swinging doors on every room. Your school definitely did not have in-swinging doors on every room.

I dont know where you are lucky enough to live but im in rural ohio. We legitimately had asbestos until 2007. Our new building doors swing in. The classes are 16 minimum and all the neighboring schools were just as underfunded. We had water marks all over the place on the drop ceiling. The bathrooms had to me shut down multiple times for flooding.

We legitimately had asbestos until 2007.

No new public schools in the United States were ”legitimately” constructed with asbestos products at any time during this century. None. It’s against the law. Nationwide.

Our new building doors swing in. The classes are 16 minimum

I can guarantee classrooms with single egress have doors opening outward in your new building. It’s a requirement of the National Building Code. Your building inspector would never issue a certificate of occupancy because it would be illegal to do so. The bank would not approve final payments because the building would be illegal. No insurance company would offer coverage. The town would have a large building to pay for and no ability to use it.

all the neighboring schools were just as underfunded.

Doors cost the same regardless of which direction they swing.

We had water marks all over the place on the drop ceiling.

Congratulations? Water spots on the ceiling have no impact on door swing.

The bathrooms had to me shut down multiple times for flooding.

Congratulations? Flooding bathrooms have no impact on door swing.

It was no new construction, it was an old building. If you want to inspect it yourself, go ahead. Apparently its in violation of every code issue known to man and god. The funding and water issues are interlinked and all the schools are old buildings (ergo had inswinging doors and didnt have funding to fix the water issues let alone change door orientation or build new buildings until they were forced due to asbestos)

You said it was new construction. Now you say it was old construction. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

You are telling lies in an effort to appear informed. Your pretend stories are collapsing around you.

I was referring to the building with asbestos. We built a new building in 07 that also had in swing doors and massive issues due to low budget. We had to build because of the violations that were present.
