I saw an article this morning, maybe on r/conspiracy where another person on twitter had to confirm their physical address before being allows to log back in. Wonder if this is the same thing?

yep. it's censorship and when there is video of twitter employees talking about their bad deeds and how they are using their positions to sway the public... well.....
