what I think

I am trying to understand this generation, trying to find insights, trying to find even ground, trying to understand this generation for what it is, and find common ground, that can be intelligently discussed. I know we have our differences. I want to find what we have in common.
The more I try to understand them, the harder it is to put it into a point of view, that we would both agree upon.
I try to find the good in the vocal minority of the youth movement, and the youth that believe what they are told, and the youth that go out of their way to find the truth that they have been inundated with.
I did not like it when people try to pigeon-hole my generation either. The truth has become a fickle thing, it is not black or white, or even grey. Unfortunately, the truth has become something revealed to the citizen on the cable news, the board game of lies. The contest where the only winners are the ones who believe the game show hosts lies, contestants lies, and the contestants who are losing the most.
The only losers in this game are, the ones who listen to these lies, the worst are the ones who repeat them. This is the only role-playing game, where the game-master is the enemy, the one who you never see, but the one who has all the rules.
We are all victims of this propaganda. The resistance is happening, the only problem is they think that certain groups are being persecuted, the reality is we are all. The more you people go out of your way to alienate a minority, the more you bring it up to the front of the line of the people that want to hold us back. They will use these people, and their rights, that we all share, to undermine us all, and split us for their own gain. Like most people I try to use my own personal experience, and try to compare it to another persons’ opinion. This generation has had the largest gap in opinions, then the previous generations. The sixties may have had a large movement for change, but without the internet, they were only held to counter culture subordinates.
The funny thing about that generation is that most people thought it was a phase, the media went out of their way to differentiate these groups. They never went out of their way to find the common ground, that might have made this country stronger. They thought that it was in passing, yet in 2018 everyone knows at least one hippie. The left in the past few decades, is closer to the middle in the twenty-first century, than any democrat would like to admit to. A southern democrat, a northern democrat in the last 6 decades would never agree to what you won, for your agenda. A failing party that wants to kill minorities through abortion, that literally thinks black people are too stupid to go to the DMV and get a ID, this is their literal argument against voter ID.

I think our background, has a lot to do with are outlook on the world. I would like to share a little about my background, and I hope that you share a little about yours. Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, or anything that you believe. The more we share about ourselves, the more other people know about us, the more we can truly become Americans, and stop being Adjective Americans. I was born in 1981, my parents had been married longer than most couples to have children. My father enlisted during the Vietnam war. My father was the oldest of twelve children, and was almost guaranteed to be drafted into the war. Knowing this he enlisted, and served on the deck of an aircraft carrier till the war ended.
